Job summary

Phillips 66 is seeking an Automation Controls Technician at the Pegasus Plant in Midkiff, TX. The role focuses on repairs and maintenance of complex instrument and electrical control systems, including PLCs, DCS, SCADA, and Burner Management Systems.

You will lead I&E craft personnel, manage projects, and mentor teams to ensure reliable operations. The position requires an online assessment and travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Experience with PLC programming and control systems in industrial environments.
• Knowledge of SCADA, DCS, and burner management systems is preferred.
• Ability to lead maintenance teams and mentor I&E craft personnel.

Responsibilities

• Identify enhancement opportunities using a high-level plant processing view.
• Design and upgrade DCS logic; program PLCs as needed.
• Calibrate and troubleshoot sophisticated analyzers; modify programs as required.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance for I&E equipment.
• Apply programming to optimize existing processes; mentor junior staff.
• Serve as SME on audits and reviews; ensure compliance with standards.
