Job summary

Phillips 66 Midstream is seeking an Automation Specialist to support installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of automation equipment including PLCs, RTUs, and DCS. You will improve reliability and implement automation strategies across facilities.

The role requires travel (30–50%), knowledge of Rockwell/Siemens/Foxboro/Delta V, and an Associate’s degree or higher in a technical field with 3 years of automation experience.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in Instrumentation, Electronics, Industrial Electronics, or related technical discipline.
• 3 years of relevant automation experience.
• Proficiency in PLC/DCS configuration and industrial communication protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, configure, test, and implement automation solutions for processes.
• Build relationships with vendors and partners for automation technologies.
• Support DCS, PLCs, RTUs, and HMIs throughout projects and operations.
• Troubleshoot and improve automation equipment for safety and reliability.
• Direct technicians and contractors on automation system work.
• Lead data collection, system optimization, and communications planning.
• Create I/O lists, alarm databases, and control narratives.
