Job summary

Phillips 66 Midstream seeks an Automation Controls Technician for the Pegasus Plant in Texas. You will repair and maintain complex instrument and electrical control systems, including PLCs, DCS, and SCADA, and supervise I&E craft personnel while overseeing projects and contractors.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, travel up to 20%, and strong troubleshooting and programming skills. On-site, you’ll contribute to safe, reliable operations and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Intermediate or greater proficiency with SCADA troubleshooting, ladder logic, and programming.

Responsibilities

• Applies a high-level understanding of plant processing to identify enhancement opportunities.
• Designs complex logic and configuration changes and upgrades for DCS systems; programs PLCs.
• Calibrates, troubleshoots and maintains sophisticated analyzers and related equipment.
• Develops and implements preventive maintenance programs for I&E equipment.
• Mentors I&E personnel and leads troubleshooting efforts.
