Job summary

Mohawk Industries is seeking an experienced automation technician to provide technical expertise in automation, controls, and electrical systems across our manufacturing facility. You will troubleshoot, install, configure, and maintain automation equipment, assess process control issues, and lead small projects from conception to implementation; travel for training as required.

Candidates should have an Associate degree in Electrical Technology and at least five years of hands-on experience with

Qualifications

Associate degree in Electrical Technology or related field.
Minimum of five years of recent experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial electrical and automation systems.
Proficiency with reading manuals, specs, and engineering documentation.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CAD, PLC programming, and HMI tools.
Knowledge of electrical codes and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, install, repair, and replace programmable automation and control systems.
Troubleshoot, install, configure, and replace VFDs in standalone and integrated systems.
Analyze and resolve process control issues including PID tuning and system performance.
Troubleshoot automation networks including control components, servers, and client networks.
Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support for automation across operations.
Install, calibrate, and maintain field instrumentation (RTDs, thermocouples, flow meters, transducers, PID controllers, web-guides, thickness measurement).
Manage small automation projects from conception through implementation (procurement, installation, programming, testing, documentation).
Attend training and follow SOPs; participate in housekeeping and other duties as assigned.
