Job summary

BW Design Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Control System Integration Practice in the United States. You will lead automation projects, overseeing hardware design, PLC/HMI programming, and SCADA, while managing proposals, scheduling, and client relations.

The role requires 8+ years in automation solution development, strong electrical design skills, and proficiency with Rockwell and related software.

Qualifications

• 8+ years developing and programming automation solutions for industrial design sectors.
• Experience designing electrical control systems and programming automation for process applications.
• Proficiency with Rockwell hardware and software.
• Experience in life sciences, food & beverage, pulp & paper, or related industries (preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills across management levels and with clients/vendors.
• Willingness to travel for installation, start-up, meetings, and industry events.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering preferred, other degrees considered with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage project tasks including hardware/panel design, PLC and HMI programming, SCADA design, power distribution design, and project documentation.
• Oversee project execution: proposals, estimating, scheduling, resources, finances, staffing, contracts, order processing, quality control, customer satisfaction, and setup.
• Maintain relationships with key client contacts and coordinate with finance for reporting.
• Lead, develop, and grow the controls & automation business in the local office.
• Mentor and guide professionals; provide feedback and career development guidance.
• Coordinate multiple functional areas to ensure satisfactory project delivery; manage full life cycle from planning to delivery.
