Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Automation and Controls Engineer for Starship infrastructure at Starbase, TX. You will design, deploy, and maintain automation for power, utility, and fluids systems, leading cross-functional projects to scale production and meet demanding launch schedules.

You will develop PLC/HMI/SCADA solutions, review electrical schematics, and mentor a team of engineers while ensuring safety and reliability in a high-hazard environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or related engineering field.
• 5+ years designing and working on automation and control systems.
• Experience with HMI and SCADA applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, operate, and maintain automation and SCADA systems for Starbase facilities.
• Lead projects and drive rapid improvements across infrastructure.
• Develop and deploy standardized automation for power and utility systems.
• Mentor and lead engineers and technicians.
• Ensure NFPA/NEC/UL compliance in control panels.
