Job summary

Tallgrass MLP Operations, LLC seeks an Automation & Controls Sr. Specialist to join the Cheyenne Power Hub Project Engineering Team in Houston. You will review contractor work and provide technical guidance for the capital project, focusing on DCS/FGS design and process control for power facilities.

You will produce and review PFDs, interlock diagrams, cause-and-effect diagrams, instrument data sheets, and P&IDs, ensuring compliance with standards and project requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years' experience in a power/oil & gas environment with automation duties.
• Experience with power plants, natural gas processing, compression automation, and instrumentation.
• Knowledge of standard automation communication techniques.
• Knowledge of national/international instrument electrical and controls standards.
• Construction knowledge in electrically hazardous area applications.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Review contractor work and provide technical guidance and assurance for the capital project.
• Produce/review PFDs, interlock diagrams, cause and effect diagrams, instrument data sheets, and P&IDs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams to meet schedules and safety standards.
