Job summary

Tallgrass is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to support operation and maintenance of pipelines and facilities. The role focuses on power system studies, electrical safety, and standard-setting to ensure reliable, safe operations across natural gas, crude oil, CO2, and water assets.

The candidate will review vendor drawings, coordinate grounding and lightning mitigation, and work with cross-functional teams to maintain up-to-date electrical drawings and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70E and NFPA 70B.
• Knowledge of IEC/IEEE standards related to electrical systems.
• Experience with power system studies and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Oversee power system studies and electrical safety efforts.
• Coordinate lightning mitigation installations and grounding studies.
• Develop and update electrical standards and specs.
• Review vendor drawings and ensure conformance with standards.
• Ensure electrical field inspections and maintenance meet company/industry norms.
• Interact with internal and external stakeholders with professionalism.
