Job summary

The Lee Company is seeking an Automation Controls Engineer in southern New England. You will design, commission, and support automated assembly and test equipment, programming Allen-Bradley PLCs to interface with robots, sensors, vision systems, and conveyors.

You will contribute to cross-functional teams, develop electrical schematics, and create intuitive HMI interfaces while focusing on safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field.
• 5+ years designing, fabricating, and commissioning automated assembly and test equipment (electrical controls).
• Advanced ladder-logic programming for Allen-Bradley CompactLogix PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Interface with automation equipment and cross-functional teams to develop new on-site equipment.
• Develop P&ID diagrams and electrical control panel schematics.
• Write and deploy software on Allen-Bradley CompactLogix PLCs using ladder logic.
• Design intuitive HMI screens and integrate robots, vision systems, conveyors, and sensors.
• Manage electrical design changes during build and coordinate with vendors.
