Job summary

Jobot is seeking a senior Controls Engineer to join a Northmoor, MO manufacturing team. You will own automation improvements, equipment reliability, and new equipment launches in a fast-paced setting.

The role focuses on Allen-Bradley PLC programming, ControlLogix, Studio 5000, and integration with robotics, vision systems, servos, and material handling.

Collaborate with maintenance, production, quality, and equipment integrators to reduce downtime, improve uptime, and support production launches.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of controls, automation, or related manufacturing engineering experience.
• Hands-on Allen-Bradley PLC programming experience.
• Strong experience with ControlLogix and Studio 5000.
• Ability to program, modify, diagnose, and troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment.
• Strong industrial electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience reading electrical schematics and controls drawings.
• Relevant experience with an associate degree may also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Program, modify, and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLC-controlled equipment.
• Support ControlLogix systems using Studio 5000.
• Diagnose PLC hardware, software, communication, and network issues.
• Develop and optimize ladder logic and other PLC programming.
• Troubleshoot HMIs, sensors, vision systems, VFDs, servos, remote I/O, and industrial networking.
• Support automated assembly equipment, robotics, and material handling systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and controls-related equipment issues.
• Support new equipment installations, commissioning, startups, and production launches.
• Review electrical schematics and controls drawings.
• Work with equipment integrators and automation suppliers.
• Develop error-proofing and automated quality systems.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Participate in PFMEA, 8D, Kaizen, and Lean initiatives.
