Job summary

Lumen is hiring an AutoCAD Specialist to support engineering planning and record drawings for floors, sites, and AC 1-line diagrams. You will work with engineers to draft initial designs for new projects and maintain the drawings library in SharePoint.

This full-time remote position in the USA offers a Monday–Friday schedule with potential after-hours support. A Bachelor's degree and 3+ years’ AutoCAD experience are required, with preference for telecom or data center design backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and 3+ years of AutoCAD experience.
• AutoCAD proficiency with attention to detail and efficient turnaround.
• Preferred experience: telecommunication or data center design, architectural design, electrical/AC 1-line design, building systems (mechanical/electrical).
• Experience with GIS/mapping or civil design and AutoCAD Map 3D.
• Experience with .Net or AutoLISP programming for AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Work with engineers to create initial designs for new projects.
• Develop floor plans that include additions or removals of equipment or new construction.
• Create site plans using GIS data and imagery; locate property lines and add buildings, roads and driveways.
• Handle AC 1-line designs and electrical symbol work.
• Research missing information and add as-built data to drawings.
• Create/modify 2D & 3D blocks and dynamic blocks.
• Generate PDFs of designs and manage drawing workflow in SharePoint.
• Maintain project records in internal systems; serve as AutoCAD SME for planning teams.
