Job summary

Lumen is seeking a skilled AutoCAD drafter to support planning and engineering teams remotely within the United States. The role focuses on creating and maintaining floor plans, site plans, and AC 1-line drawings, while managing record drawings in SharePoint and ensuring accurate geometry and drawing standards.

The candidate will collaborate with engineers to develop initial designs, locate property lines, and generate 2D/3D blocks and PDFs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and 3+ years of AutoCAD experience.
• AutoCAD proficiency with attention to detail and efficient turnaround.
• Preferred: telecommunication or data center design, architectural or electrical design, GIS/mapping, AutoCAD Map 3D, and basic programming for AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Create initial designs for new projects with engineers.
• Draft floor plans and site plans, including equipment changes.
• Manage site drawings and 1-line electrical drawings using AC symbols.
• Maintain Drawings Library on SharePoint and manage drawing workflow.
• Create 2D/3D blocks, PDFs, and as-built information.
• Serve as SME for AutoCAD and assist teams with AutoCAD-related issues.
