Job summary

CTR Cryo in Charlotte, NC seeks an experienced AutoCAD Electrical Designer to own and govern electrical control documentation, ensuring BOM accuracy and alignment between engineering, procurement, and manufacturing.

The role manages the smart symbol library, PDM changes in Autodesk Vault, legacy-drawing migrations, and cross-functional BOM integrity across Syspro ERP, with collaboration across the software/automation teams and production.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of progressive electrical design experience with ownership of CAD standards or library development.
• Strong teamwork, attention to detail, time management and ability to work in fast-paced team environments.
• Experience with Syspro ERP, Autodesk Vault, and AutoCAD Electrical.

Responsibilities

• Own and govern the 'smart symbol' library standard, including symbol creation and scalability decisions.
• Manage Electrical design file storage and change management in PDM.
• Lead migration of legacy drawings into AutoCAD Electrical with defined methodology and quality standards.
• Enforce BOM integrity across engineering and procurement, interfacing with Syspro ERP.
• Architect and maintain structured file environments in Autodesk Vault for organized storage of schematic packages.
• Produce drawing packages for projects and new product lines with full BOM in Syspro.
• Update 'As Built' documentation and perform day-to-day edits to support production.
• Support the expanding software/automation team by aligning structures and aiding best practices.
