Job summary

Transtech Energy in Rock Hill, SC is seeking an AutoCAD Electrical Designer to own electrical control system documentation and translate designs into production-ready schematics and drawing packages. This role serves as the CAD standards authority, ensuring symbol library integrity and BOM accuracy for manufacturing alignment.

Responsibilities include managing the smart symbol library, PDM storage, legacy-drawings migrations, and cross-functional BOM governance with engineering and procurement

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 5+ years of progressive electrical design and documentation experience.
• Experience owning CAD standards or symbol/library development.

Responsibilities

• Own and govern the smart symbol library and CAD standards.
• Manage Electrical design file storage, change management, and PDM.
• Lead migration of legacy drawings to AutoCAD Electrical with quality standards.
• Enforce BOM integrity across engineering and procurement.
• Maintain Autodesk Vault file environment for schematic packages.
• Produce drawing packages including full BOM setups in Syspro.
• Update 'As Built' documentation and support manufacturing teams.
