Job summary

CTR is seeking an AutoCAD Electrical Designer in the Charlotte/Rock Hill area to own electrical control system documentation and deliver production-ready schematics. You will maintain the symbol library, ensure BOM accuracy, and manage CAD data across PDM and Syspro ERP.

The role requires an Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years in electrical design, with strong collaboration across engineering, procurement, and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electrical engineering required.
• At least 5 years of progressive electrical design and documentation experience.
• Experience owning CAD standards or symbol libraries.

Responsibilities

• Own and govern the smart symbol library, including new symbols.
• Manage electrical design file storage and change management in PDM.
• Lead legacy drawing migration to AutoCAD Electrical with quality standards.
• Enforce BOM integrity across engineering and procurement and Syspro.
• Perform gap analysis between engineering designs and procurement data.
• Maintain Autodesk Vault file environment for schematic packages.
• Produce drawing packages for projects with full BOM in Syspro.
• Update 'As Built' docs and day-to-day edits for production.
• Improve enclosure drawings with gland hole details and label placement.
• Assist in updating product manuals and technical docs.
• Collaborate with software/automation team and support team-based development.
• Deep knowledge of ERP (Syspro) and PDM (Vault) and AutoCAD Electrical.
