Job summary

Grease-Monkey is seeking an experienced automotive technician to perform a wide range of services including brakes, rotors, oil changes, transmissions, and engine overhauls. The role involves diagnosing issues, advising customers on preventive maintenance, and maintaining vehicle inspection records.

The technician will work on complex repairs, mentor junior technicians, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards while keeping the shop clean and organized.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures.
• Ability to write routine tickets, notes and other correspondence.
• Ability to present information clearly and respond to questions from customers.
• Valid Driver's License and applicable state certifications where required.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs as outlined on repair orders with accuracy and efficiency.
• Diagnoses vehicle problems and performs complex repairs including transmissions and engine work when needed.
• Documents all work performed and recommendations; communicates with customers about maintenance needs.
• Ensures shop is clean, safe, and organized; handles tools and equipment responsibly.
• Participates in safety programs and adheres to regulations and company policies.
