Arbella Insurance Group in Wakefield, MA is seeking an experienced Auto Physical Damage Appraiser to assess 1st and 3rd party vehicle damage, including total loss evaluations. You’ll work in the field and at drive-in locations, coordinating with repair facilities and our claims team to deliver accurate estimates and timely customer service.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of appraisal experience, an associate degree or equivalent, and hold a valid driver's license; training and mentoring are

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree or equivalent; relevant auto repair coursework acceptable.
• Experience: 5+ years on job/technical physical damage estimating.
• Licenses: Valid driver’s license; appraiser license/certifications beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Inspect 1st and 3rd party vehicles for collision/comprehensive damage with accuracy.
• Negotiate appraisals with repair facilities to determine fair repair costs.
• Prepare timely estimates with photo/video documentation of damage.
• Mentor less experienced appraisers and support onboarding of new staff.
