Job summary

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related appraisal experience, preferably with an insurance carrier.
• A valid State driver's license, clear MVR, and Appraisal License.
• With minimal oversight, performs work independently within specified limits and authority.
• Willingness to adapt to new or changing requirements or priorities.
• Must be flexible with respect to work scheduling issues due to business needs.
• Ability to negotiate skillfully and resolve conflicts.
• Familiarity with CCC One or another auto estimating system; Windows, Excel and Word proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical and virtual inspections of vehicle damage as part of claims processing.
• Prepare written repair cost estimates following guidelines and regulations.
• Negotiate cost-effective repair figures according to guidelines and state regulations.
• Conduct timely supplemental inspections for additional damage discovered during repairs.
• Identify fraud indicators and apply knowledge of basic policy coverage.
• Complete field appraisals in the automated appraisal system at inspection or review.
• Determine actual cash values for total loss vehicles.
