The role includes mentoring coworkers, supporting onboarding, and ensuring accurate, timely documentation and communication with customers.

Education should include an associate degree or a high school diploma with auto coursework; a valid appraiser license and driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to associate degree, or high school diploma with auto repair coursework.
• 5+ years on-the-job/technical auto damage estimating experience.
• Valid driver’s license and appraiser license.

Responsibilities

• Completes thorough inspection of 1st and 3rd party vehicles for collision/comprehensive damage with high accuracy.
• Negotiates completed appraisals with repair facilities to obtain agreed repair cost.
• Inspects and authorizes supplement repairs to ensure quality service.
• Prepares accurate and timely estimates for vehicle damage repair with documentation.
• Manages appointments with customers and repair facilities to ensure timely estimates.
• Mentors newer appraisers and supports onboarding of staff.
