Job summary

Amazon's Last Mile Claims team is seeking a seasoned claims professional to lead strategy on complex bodily injury auto claims within the global DSP program. You will manage pre‑litigation and litigated matters, work with TPAs and insurers, and help design programs to contain costs while balancing customer experience.

Ideal candidates will have 7+ years in complex bodily injury adjudication, strong transportation claims experience, an active adjuster license, and proven ability to drive

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience adjudicating complex bodily injury claims, including pre-litigation and litigated matters.
• 5+ years in transportation claims management, with fleets or large auto claim programs.
• Active adjuster license required.
• Knowledge of the litigation process from inception to resolution.
• Experience setting and managing reserves for high-exposure or catastrophic claims.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex bodily injury and litigated claims.
• Collaborate with business units to limit high-value claims and contain costs.
• Develop strategies with counsel, TPAs, and insurers.
• Lead mediation and settlement discussions with internal/external partners.
• Field questions from business partners and resolve claims.
• Partner with teams to prevent claims through safety measures.
• Ensure TPAs, Risk Management, and Legal align to control costs.
• Lead complex claims management and train teams.
• Direct claim reviews to align with KPIs.
• Report key metrics to internal teams and captive insurance.
• Coordinate with external vendors on innovative claims initiatives.
• Communicate risk mitigation strategies to leadership.
• Manage worldwide auto exposures and DSP projects.
• Use analytics to evaluate loss trends.
• Provide guidance on loss prevention.
• Develop business proposals for senior leaders.
