Job summary

Amazon is seeking a claims professional to lead strategy on complex bodily injury auto claims within the Last Mile Claims organization. You will manage high‑value litigated and pre‑litigation claims, partner with TPAs, counsel, and insurers, and develop programs to contain costs while improving risk management and customer outcomes.

The role requires 7+ years of adjudication experience in complex bodily injury claims and 5+ years in transportation claim management, with an active adjuster

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree from an accredited university.
• 7+ years experience adjudication of complex, pre-litigated and litigated bodily injury claims.
• 5+ years experience in transportation claims management, including fleets or large auto claim programs.
• Must have active adjuster license.
• Knowledge of the litigation process and claims handling from inception to resolution.
• Reserve management and financial acumen. Experience setting and managing reserves on high-exposure and catastrophic claims.

Responsibilities

• Claims management of moderate and complex bodily injury and litigated claims.
• Work with business units to implement strategies to limit complex high value claims and contain costs.
• Develop strategy and action plans for claims with internal/external counsel, TPAs and insurers.
• Mediation and settlement strategy and attendance with internal/external partners.
• Field and address business partners on‑going questions and issues through claims resolution.
