Job summary

Amazon is seeking a seasoned risk and claims leader for the Last Mile Claims team to design, launch, and manage a global auto claims strategy. You will lead complex bodily injury claims, coordinate with TPAs and insurers, and drive cost containment while aligning with internal risk and legal partners.

The role emphasizes developing programs, negotiating settlements, and providing data-driven insights to senior leadership. Travel up to 10% may be required as you support multiple US locations.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree from an accredited university.
• 7+ years experience adjudication of complex bodily injury claims.
• 5+ years experience in transportation claims management, including fleets or large auto claim programs.
• Must have active adjuster license
• Knowledge of the litigation process and claims handling from inception to resolution.
• Reserve management and financial acumen. Experience setting and managing reserves on high-exposure and catastrophic claims, including large loss reporting and escalation protocols.

Responsibilities

• Claims management of complex bodily injury and litigated claims.
• Work with business units to implement strategies to limit complex high value claims and contain costs.
• Develop strategy and action plans for claims in tandem with internal/external counsel, TPAs, and insurance companies.
• Mediation and settlement strategy and attendance with internal and external partners.
• Field and address business partners on-going questions and issues through claims resolution as needed.
