Qualifications

• Minimum 5–10 years of related experience handling auto and casualty claims.
• Licensure and insurance certifications must be obtained within 60 days if not licensed.
• Strong interpersonal, public relations, and analytical skills.
• Ability to understand coverage issues, exclusions, and endorsements.
• Experience with claims systems and administrative processes.

Responsabilités

• Maintain a workload of litigated and non-litigated claims.
• Investigate coverage, gather information, and issue determinations.
• Adjust claims per policy, laws, and authority; may hire independent adjusters.
• Make independent decisions with minimal supervision.
• For litigated claims, coordinate defense counsel and strategy.
• Prepare claim recommendations for management.
• Identify subrogation opportunities and sources of recovery.
• Attend mediations/arbitrations/trials when appropriate.
• Work with SIU to deter false claims.
• Ensure files are accurate, current, and properly documented.
• Keep management updated on developments and trends.
• Handle special projects as assigned.
