Gerber Collision & Glass is opening a new location in Urbandale, IA, and seeks an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional repairs and customer experiences. The role includes meticulous assessment, disassembly, repair, and reassembly of vehicles to restore pre-accident condition.

Responsibilities include realigning frames, replacing parts and glass, welding, trimming and repainting, while meeting KPIs and WOW standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plan the repair work and prepares cost estimates for customers using various tools.
• Repair vehicle bodies using cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers and pliers to restore pre-accident condition.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections and repair glass, interior parts, and repaint as needed.
• Inspect vehicles after repair to ensure quality and KPI compliance.
