Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Urbandale, IA is opening a state-of-the-art facility this fall. The Auto Body Technician will assess and repair vehicles, carefully disassembling and reassembling parts to restore pre-accident condition while upholding speed, quality, and customer-excellence standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and technical training or apprenticeship; you will work with a team to hit KPI targets, use cutting tools, hammers, welders, and paint systems, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan repairs and prepare customer cost estimates.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles to pre-accident condition.
• Realign chassis and frames to fix structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections and glass or interior parts as needed.
• Weld, fit parts, and repaint vehicles per factory specs.
• Complete work orders within labor guidelines and inspect work.
• Collaborate with shop team to meet KPIs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
