Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass - Kingwood, TX is seeking an experienced Auto Body Technician. The role focuses on meticulous assessment and quality repair to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition, with emphasis on speed, quality, and customer excellence.

Responsibilities include planning repairs, estimating costs, body panel repair, welding, painting, and final inspection to ensure workmanship meets company standards. A high school diploma and technical training or apprenticeship are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program completion OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
• 4-5 years minimum collision Auto Body Technician experience.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles to pre-accident condition.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections and repair glass, interiors, and paint as needed.
• Inspect vehicles after repair to ensure quality and accuracy.
