Hi Tech Motorcars in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee daily financial operations, lead the month-end close, and ensure GAAP-compliant statements. You will interact with Sales, F&I, and Service to ensure accurate reporting and vehicle inventory valuation using dealership management systems (DMS).

The role requires 3–5+ years in automotive dealership accounting, strong Excel and GAAP knowledge, and the ability to meet strict deadlines; CPA/CMA/MBA valued but not required.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 3–5+ years of accounting experience in an automotive dealership.
• CPA, CMA, or MBA is valued but not required.

Mansioni

• Month-End Close & Reporting: Lead monthly close, prepare financial statements accurately and on time.
• General Ledger & Reconciliation: Reconcile GL accounts including bank, floor plan liability, and manufacturer receivables.
• Inventory & Deal Management: Verify vehicle inventory valuation, cost accounting, and billing/invoicing of car deals.
• Tax & Compliance: Prepare sales tax filings, vehicle registration docs, and assist with external audits.
• Financial Analysis: Analyze financial results to provide insights on profitability and cost optimization.
• Manufacturer Relations: Manage manufacturer incentives, warranties, and chargebacks.
