Jobot is seeking a Staff Accountant for our automotive dealership accounting team in Austin, TX. This role focuses on reconciling accounts, processing daily ACH transactions, and preparing financial analyses to support dealership operations.

You will collaborate with General Managers and department managers, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with policies and regulations. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in accounting and strong Excel skills, with a degree in accounting or related field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Associate degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
• Experience with general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting is required.
• Strong Excel skills and data analysis abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly reconciliations for all accounts, including bank reconciliations.
• Compile and review sales commission reports for management approval.
• Process daily ACH transactions.
• Record, code, and reconcile incoming payments and checks.
• Maintain advertising expense tracking spreadsheets.
• Assist General Managers and Department Managers with accounting and reporting requests.
• Review accounting schedules and prepare journal entries as needed.
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial analysis reports for Controllers and General Managers.
• Assist in preparing dealership financial statements.
