Job summary

Reitman Personnel seeks a Staff Accountant to maintain accurate financial records and support the finance team in a fast-paced automotive dealership setting.

You will manage month-end close, financial statements, reconciliations, and AP/AR across locations; analyze data for strategic insights and ensure tax filings are compliant; oversee inventory accounting for auto parts and drive system improvements; and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance with 3–5+ years of automotive/recycling experience preferred.
• Advanced Excel and proficiency in QuickBooks or ERP systems.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Financial & Operational Accounting: Manage full-cycle accounting, including month-end close, financial statement preparation, complex reconciliations across locations/e-commerce, and AP/AR.
• Compliance & Strategy: Analyze financial data for strategic insights, manage tax filings, and ensure adherence to environmental/industry regulations.
• Inventory & Process Improvement: Oversee inventory accounting for auto parts/scrap and drive improvements in accounting systems.
• Mentorship: Review work of junior staff.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance and 3–5+ years of experience (automotive/recycling preferred).
