Job summary

Charles Schwab is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to own complex test automation for enterprise authentication and security. You will develop scalable test suites for Passwordless Login, WebAuthn, and risk-based authentication across web, API, and mobile, partnering with product, security, and platform teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on automation, code quality, and collaboration across multiple stacks, with hybrid work and opportunities to advance AI-assisted testing practices.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in software development or testing roles with automation focus.
• Experience with web, API, and mobile test automation across stacks.
• Proficiency in Java, TypeScript, or similar languages and Gherkin.

Responsibilities

• Own design, development, and maintenance of test automation frameworks and suites.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to define acceptance criteria.
• Design automated test strategies across UI, API, mobile, and visual layers.
• Build end-to-end, integration, and regression test coverage for auth scenarios.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD and monitor quality gates.
• Apply AI-assisted tools to accelerate test authoring and coverage.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and support root-cause analysis.
• Maintain performance and stress test suites in production-like environments.
