Job summary
Charles Schwab’s Technology Services seeks a Senior Software Engineer - Platform Developer to build scalable automation and AI-enabled tooling supporting SRE and production teams. You will deliver secure backend services, APIs, data workflows, and AI-enabled capabilities across the Schwab platform.
You’ll lead streams from discovery to adoption, partner with engineers, architects, product owners, and operations, and evolve architecture for reliability and maintainability in an on-site role.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong Python development experience
- Java and Spring Framework REST API development
- AI applications, automation, or agentic workflows
- CI/CD, testing, security, observability, troubleshooting
- Agile delivery experience
- PostgreSQL database experience
- Experience deploying to PCF and GCP
Responsibilities
- Develop Platform, Automation, and AI-enabled solutions
- Design, implement, operate secure reusable software across automation, APIs, integrations, data workflows
- Convert recurring operational pain points into shared capabilities
- Lead development workstreams from discovery through adoption
- Contribute to AI agent development and related workflows
- Collaborate across SaaS platforms, cloud services, and tools to deliver value
- Support architecture decisions for scalability, security, reliability
