Job summary
Charles Schwab is seeking an Automation Engineer to ensure software quality and release readiness across critical applications. You will design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test solutions, working closely with development and business teams to strengthen testing practices and automation capabilities.
Leadership opportunities include mentoring junior engineers and driving continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining automated tests with Java-based tooling.
- Experience with Java, Selenium, Cucumber, REST APIs, Oracle, JUnit, Gradle, and Swagger.
- Experience in Windows, Linux, and Unix environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites with high-quality plans and cases.
- Perform defect triage, root cause analysis, and coordinate with development teams.
- Develop test data strategies, evaluate testing risks and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and technology teams to validate requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Mentor Junior Automation Engineers and promote automation best practices.
