Job summary

BerryDunn is seeking an experienced Senior Auditor to join our Financial Services Practice Group. You’ll lead audit, review, compilation engagements from planning through completion, balancing quality, client service, and budget expectations.

You’ll build trusted client relationships while coaching professionals and contributing to a collaborative, quality-driven team. This role may be based in multiple locations or remote, with travel under 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting and 150 semester hours.
• 3+ years of progressive public accounting audit experience.
• CPA license or active progress toward obtaining CPA (BerryDunn support available).
• Strong analytical, technical accounting, and auditing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements with sound judgment, organization, and attention to detail.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and client service skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit, review, compilation engagements from planning through completion.
• Develop understanding of client operations, processes, risks, and goals.
• Research and analyze financial statements, audit matters, and technical topics.
• Build trusted relationships with client management and staff through high-quality service.
• Identify recommendations to strengthen processes, controls, and financial operations.
• Participate in planning, closing, and audit committee meetings as a key team member.
• Support partners with proposals, business development, and practice growth.
• Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns during the audit.
• Provide feedback to support staff development and engagement performance.
• Participate in recruiting and represent the team with candidates.
