Job summary

Truist Financial Corporation in the United States is seeking a Senior Audit Manager to lead risk-based internal audit assurance and advisory services across the organization. This role develops expertise in banking and financial services and strengthens business relationships.

You will manage large, complex engagements, set quality expectations, prepare audit reports, coach staff, and support annual planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or related field.
• Eight to ten years of experience in audit, preferably in a role similar to an Audit Project Leader.
• Advanced knowledge in audit and banking/financial services.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Excellent risk management, analytical and communication skills.
• Experience with standard software applications (e.g., MS Office).
• Professional certification such as CPA/CIA/CISA.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Engagement Manager for large, complex, high-risk projects and lead audit test planning and resource coordination.
• Set quality expectations based on audit standards and evaluate process documentation.
• Develop meaningful audit reports aligned with risk appetite and present to stakeholders.
• Advise on complex assignments with deep organizational knowledge and subject matter expertise.
• Leverage risk management knowledge to assess audit findings and exposures.
• Provide leadership by coaching and mentoring team members and giving feedback.
• Assist management in developing relationships with business units and evaluate risk profiles.
• Manage timely delivery of multiple audits and projects; stay current with industry trends.
