Job summary

GPAC (Growing People and Companies) is seeking an Audit Manager to lead financial statement audits and related engagements at a CPA firm. This role requires CPA and 5+ years of audit experience, with strong leadership and communication skills for cross-functional teams.

You will mentor staff, identify issues, and implement process improvements while upholding high ethical standards. The position is onsite/hybrid in the Greensboro area with competitive compensation and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• Auditing: 5+ years of experience.
• CPA certification required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage external relationships and teams.
• Ability to handle high-stress environment and shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial statement audits, reviews, compilations, and special projects.
• Identify accounting, financial statement, and reporting issues based on guidance.
• Provide recommendations for process improvements based on client operations.
• Assist staff through counsel, guidance, and coaching.
• Evaluate performance on client engagements and improve internal processes.
• Demonstrate excellent team skills, a positive attitude, and high ethical standards.
