NextPlay Jobs is partnering with a growing public accounting firm in Charlotte, NC, to recruit an Audit Manager. The role focuses on leading audits, reviews, and attest engagements while building strong client relationships and developing teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in public accounting, CPA progress or certification, and deep GAAP knowledge. Hybrid work and a collaborative, development-focused culture are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA certification (or active progress toward).
• 5+ years of public accounting or audit experience.
• Strong GAAP, auditing standards, and financial reporting knowledge.
• Proven experience managing audit engagements, budgeting, staffing, and client communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage audits, reviews, compilations, and attest engagements.
• Oversee the full audit lifecycle: planning, execution, budgeting, staffing, scheduling, completion.
• Supervise, train, and mentor junior staff auditors.
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
• Identify audit risks and develop risk-based audit plans.
