Job summary

Optimize Search Group is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join our reputable firm. This role combines technical accounting expertise, project leadership, staff development, and client service with strong growth opportunities and a collaborative culture.

You will lead multiple attestations and audits, manage budgets and timelines, review work products for GAAP compliance, and develop long-term client relationships while coaching junior staff. Hybrid work with in-office 1–2 days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Active CPA license required.
• 5–7 years of progressive public accounting or audit-focused experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP/GAAS and auditing standards.
• Experience supervising staff and managing multiple engagements.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit engagements from planning through final delivery.
• Manage timelines, budgets, staffing and execution.
• Review financial statements and working papers for GAAP compliance.
• Oversee tax return preparation when applicable.
• Monitor profitability, billing and collections.
• Coach and develop audit staff.
• Maintain client relationships and provide updates to leadership.
• Identify issues and develop practical solutions.
