Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in accounting or eligible to become licensed CPA.
• Minimum 5 years in public accounting.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• Experience in government and non-profit audits preferred.
• Supervisor experience (at least 1 year).
• Demonstrated high technical knowledge.
• Strong communication and networking skills.
• Strong time-management skills.
• Dedication to teamwork, leadership and client service.
• Proven ability to supervise, train and develop staff.
• Integrity in professional environment.
• Willingness to travel and work hours beyond standard as needed.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Develop people by encouraging independence and responsibility.
• Delegate work to staff at all levels.
• Provide performance feedback and evaluations for staff and supervisors.

• Supervise multiple engagements, managing time and resources.

• Understand government/non-profit industries deeply.

• Participate in audit procedures for complex issues.
• Plan engagements and audit strategies with standards and risk considerations.
• Schedule personnel and improve efficiencies.
• Build relationships with client management throughout the year.
• Review workpapers and financial statements for standards compliance.
• Understand engagement scope and advise on client retention/fees.
• Monitor progress and bill additional services when needed.
• Contribute to client presentations of financial statements and audit results.
• Engage in firm business development and external representation.
• Represent the firm in professional, recruiting, and civic events.
• Promote firm reputation through conferences and seminars.
