Maher Duessel seeks an Audit Manager to lead and supervise government and non-profit engagements, ensuring adherence to standards and firm policies. Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting, and/or coursework to qualify as CPA
• Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience
• Government and non-profit audit experience preferred
• CPA strongly preferred
• Must have spent at least 1 year as a Supervisor
• Demonstrated a high degree of technical knowledge
• Strong communication and networking abilities
• Strong time-management skills
• Dedication to teamwork, leadership, and client service
• Proven ability to supervise, train, and develop people
• Integrity within the professional environment
• Ability to adapt to travel and extended hours as needed
• Reliable transportation

Responsabilités

• Develop people by encouraging independence and responsibility
• Delegate work to all staff levels appropriately
• Provide performance feedback and training, and complete evaluations

• Supervise multiple engagements, manage time and resources
• Leverage technology to improve efficiency and service delivery
• Identify trends relevant to government and non-profit sectors

• Maintain relationships with other engagement teams

• Participate in audit procedures for complex issues
• Plan engagements and audit strategy per standards and risk
• Schedule personnel and improve efficiencies
• Maintain relationships with client management year-round
• Review workpapers and financial statements for compliance
• Understand engagement scope and input on retention/fees
• Monitor progress and bill for additional services as needed
• Assist in billing plans and client presentations
• Represent the firm at conferences and in the community
• Support firm business development efforts
• Attend events to expand client relationships
• Promote firm reputation through external activities
• Work towards CPA exam completion
