Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting, and/or coursework to qualify for CPA licensure
• Minimum 5 years of public accounting experience
• Government and non-profit audit experience preferred
• CPA strongly preferred
• Must have spent at least 1 year as a Supervisor
• Demonstrated technical knowledge
• Strong communication and networking emphasis
• Strong time-management and teamwork
• Ability to supervise, train, and develop staff
• Integrity within professional environment
• Ability to travel and work beyond standard hours as needed
• Reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Develop people by encouraging independence and ownership of contributions
• Delegate work across staff levels effectively
• Provide performance feedback and conduct evaluations for staff and supervisors
• Foster teamwork and lead by example
• Supervise multiple engagements, managing time and resources
• Use technology to improve service delivery and efficiency
• Identify trends relevant to government and non-profit sectors
• Understand and apply government/non-profit industry knowledge
• Maintain cooperative relationships with other teams
• Participate in client retention and fee discussions
• Plan engagement objectives and audit strategy per standards and risk
• Schedule personnel and optimize engagement efficiency
• Build long-term client relationships year-round
• Review workpapers, financial statements for compliance
• Present audit results to client boards
• Contribute to business development and firm representation
• Actively engage in professional, recruiting, and community activities
• Pursue CPA certification progress
