Job summary

Truist in Raleigh, NC, seeks an Audit Manager to lead high-risk internal audit engagements within Consumer and Small Business Banking (CSBB). You will plan, scope, and manage tests, utilize data analytics, and coach junior staff to deliver independent assurance and advisory services.

You will set quality expectations, prepare well-supported audit reports aligned with the risk appetite framework, and actively mentor teammates while applying strong risk management and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or related field or equivalent education and training.
• 6–8 years of banking, auditing or related experience.
• Strong knowledge in audit and banking/financial services.
• Risk management concepts and process understanding.
• Strong written/verbal/negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to communicate root causes and solutions.
• Experience with data analytics and project management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Engagement Manager on high risk engagements, planning scoping and test plans.
• Allocate resources and manage budgets for assignments.
• Develop audit reports aligned with risk appetite framework.
• Coach junior team members through training and mentoring.
• Provide advisory services during new systems/process changes.
• Work independently with complex risk assessments.
