Job summary

Truist is seeking an Audit Manager in the Consumer and Small Business Banking (CSBB) division to lead high-risk, complex internal audits and advisory work in Winston-Salem, NC. You will coach junior staff, manage test plans, and deliver high-quality reports that align with the risk appetite framework.

You will apply data analytics, allocate resources, and challenge processes to identify root causes and provide practical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or related field.
• Six to eight years of banking, auditing or other relevant experience related to area of responsibility.
• Strong knowledge, ability and expertise in audit and other areas of banking and financial services.
• Strong understanding of risk management and process concepts.
• Strong analytical, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to grasp and communicate the underlying concepts in complex information.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and communicate root causes of problems.
• Demonstrated ability to formulate and communicate solutions based on a synthesis of information.
• Strong written, verbal and negotiating skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications and experience with tools such as Microsoft Office software products.
• Strong project management and advisory skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Engagement Manager of high risk and more complex audit engagements, including issue validations and test plan development.
• Allocate resources effectively to complete audits within budget.
• Set quality expectations based on Truist Audit Services standards.
• Develop meaningful audit reports aligned with risk appetite and present to stakeholders.
• Identify substantive issues and propose solutions beyond paperwork.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to junior team members.
• Offer deep subject matter knowledge to support business partnerships.
• Manage delivery of audits, projects, and special assignments on time and with quality.
