Job summary

Aprio is seeking a Senior Manager to lead assurance engagements for construction contractors and real estate developers, owners, and operators. Your primary focus will be construction and real estate, with potential involvement in other industries as needed.

You will supervise and mentor staff, manage budgets, and ensure rigorous technical reviews. You will engage with partners and clients, develop business opportunities, and help raise the firm’s profile through industry involvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a closely related field.
• Active CPA license.
• Seven or more years of current or recent public accounting experience with a concentration in audit and assurance.
• Demonstrated ability to manage, coach, and develop staff accountants.
• Strong analytical skills applied to financial statements and other financial information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with clients and colleagues.
• Initiative, judgment, and ability to lead and work independently.
• High professional integrity and ethics.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple audit, review, and other assurance engagements from planning through delivery.
• Serve as primary client contact and build long-term relationships.
• Own technical quality and review workpapers, financial statements, and client deliverables.
• Manage budgets, WIP, billing, and scope changes.
• Communicate status and findings clearly with partners, team, and clients.
• Research and document technical positions and explain standards changes to clients.
• Supervise and delegate across staff levels to keep engagements moving.
