Job summary

Novogradac & Company LLP is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead audit engagements with minimal supervision and mentor Staff accountants. The role emphasizes client relationships, problem solving, and profitability within a tax/audit practice.

You will supervise engagements, develop audit-specific technical expertise, and contribute to training while working toward CPA licensure. The position requires evenings/weekends as needed and potential domestic travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, 2–3 years in public accounting or equivalent balance of education and experience.
• Ability to sit for CPA exam or passed sections is a plus.
• Strong understanding of accounting and auditing rules.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and follow-through skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete audit and attest projects for designated clients with minimal oversight.
• Conduct engagement reviews and manage increasing responsibilities.
• Develop and mentor Staff Accountants; build client relationships.
• Identify and address potential issues; propose solutions.
• Research business topics, analyze data, and prepare reports.
