Jobot is seeking an experienced CPA-leaning public accounting professional in Illinois for a fully on-site role. The position offers 5 weeks of PTO, strong culture, and 100% paid medical/dental benefits.

Responsibilities include leading audits, managing engagements, and advising clients on internal controls and compliance. With 3+ years in public accounting, you will mentor staff, collaborate across teams, and drive quality deliverables.

Qualifications

• BA or BS in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification, or actively pursuing CPA.
• Minimum 3+ years of current public accounting experience.
• Proficiency with computerized accounting software and MS Office.
• Strong client rapport and project management skills.
• Proven ability to train, mentor, and coach new staff while managing multiple projects at once.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to break down complex financial information.

Responsibilities

• Oversees audit planning, field work, and reporting, communicating findings and recommendations.
• Conducts audit and review engagements from start to finish.
• Assesses compliance by examining, analyzing, and verifying financial records.
• Consults with clients on internal accounting related transactions as needed.
• Recommends changes to management and accounting operations to improve compliance.
• Provides strategic and tactical accounting advice to clients.
• Reviews work product and performance of entry level staff.
• Assists partners and managers on consulting engagements.
• Builds job knowledge through ongoing educational opportunities.
