Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced CPA-eligible auditor for our Elk Grove Village, IL office. You will oversee audit engagements from planning through reporting, and provide strategic accounting guidance to clients in a collaborative firm culture.

The role requires a BA/BS in Accounting, CPA (or pursuing), 3+ years public accounting, and strong communication skills. Offering 100% paid medical/dental, PTO, allowances, and profit sharing in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• BA or BS in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification, or actively pursuing CPA.
• Minimum 3+ years of current public accounting experience.
• Proficiency with computerized accounting software and MS Office.
• Strong client rapport and project management skills.
• Proven ability to train, mentor, and coach new staff while managing multiple projects at once.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to break down complex financial information.

Responsibilities

• Oversees audit planning, field work, and reporting, communicating findings and recommendations.
• Conducts audit and review engagements from start to finish.
• Assesses compliance by examining, analyzing, and verifying financial records.
• Consults with clients on internal accounting related transactions as needed.
• Recommends changes to management and accounting operations to improve compliance.
• Provides strategic and tactical accounting advice to clients.
• Reviews work product and performance of entry level staff.
• Assists partners and managers on consulting engagements.
• Builds job knowledge through ongoing educational opportunities.
