Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of public accounting auditing experience.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and auditing standards.
• Experience preparing or reviewing financial statements, footnotes and disclosures.
• CPA license or progress toward licensure preferred.
• Experience auditing title, real estate, or related service organizations is a plus.
• Assignment duration: November 2026 through April 2027.
• On-site in Orange, California.

Responsibilities

• Perform and supervise financial statement audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork, testing, and reporting.
• Examine financial statements and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and auditing standards.
• Prepare and review financial statement footnotes and disclosure requirements.
• Identify audit issues, evaluate findings, and communicate recommendations to clients and internal team members.
• Assist with internal and external peer reviews and support overall audit quality.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members as needed.
• Collaborate with partners and managers to ensure audit engagements are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain organized audit documentation and workpapers in accordance with professional standards.

Position Overview

Our client, a well-established public accounting firm in Orange County is seeking a Senior Auditor / Audit Supervisor for a seasonal assignment supporting its upcoming busy season. This role is ideal for an experienced public accounting professional with strong technical audit skills, a solid understanding of GAAP, and experience performing and reviewing financial statement audits.

The individual will primarily support a large client in the title and real estate services industry, along with additional clients in real estate. This is a hands‑on opportunity to contribute to high-quality audit engagements while working with an experienced accounting team.

• Assignment duration: November 2026 through April 2027.
• Work location: On‑site in Orange, California.
• Standard schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM.
• Flexible scheduling: Candidates interested in a 9:00 AM-4:00 PM schedule or part‑time hours of approximately 30 hours per week will also be considered.
• Holiday closure: The office will be closed December 23 through January 6.
