entities, requiring a hands-on leader to drive month-end and year-end closes, financial reporting, and intercompany work. Ideal candidates have 8+ years in progressive accounting roles, strong US GAAP knowledge, and SAP S/4HANA expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in Senior Accountant/Manager roles.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA.
• US GAAP and tax compliance knowledge.
• Multi-entity accounting and financial reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage full month-end and year-end close across three U.S. entities.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports for international headquarters.
• Coordinate with external tax accountants and maintain supporting documentation.
• Manage intercompany accounting and related-party transactions.
• Support transfer pricing documentation and compliance.
• Maintain general ledger integrity and resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with external firms on year-end reporting and tax work.

About the Opportunity

Our client, a well-established international food manufacturing and distribution company, is seeking an experienced, hands‑on Senior Accountant / Interim Accounting Manager Consultant to support its U.S. operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior‑level accounting professional who enjoys working in a smaller, close‑knit business environment and can independently manage the full accounting cycle.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, hands‑on experience with SAP S/4HANA, and the ability to take ownership of month‑end and year‑end close, tax preparation support, intercompany accounting, and financial reporting to international headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage the full month‑end and year‑end close process across three U.S. legal entities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules for submission to international headquarters.
• Compile and organize financial records, tax schedules, and supporting documentation for external tax accountants.
• Manage intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and related‑party transactions.
• Support transfer pricing documentation, reporting, and compliance requirements.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy and integrity of financial information.
• Review account balances, investigate discrepancies, and resolve accounting issues.
• Coordinate with external accounting firms on year‑end reporting, tax preparation, and information requests.
• Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation in a paper‑heavy, administrative environment.
• Provide hands‑on accounting support across a variety of financial and operational activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, or Controller‑level capacity.
• Required: Hands‑on experience with SAP S/4HANA.
• Proven ability to independently manage the complete month‑end and year‑end close process.
• Experience with transfer pricing and intercompany accounting required.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and U.S. tax compliance.
• Experience preparing tax schedules and supporting documentation for external CPA firms.
• Experience with multi‑entity accounting and financial reporting.
• Comfortable working in a smaller, close‑knit office environment where flexibility and a hands‑on approach are essential.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable balancing technical accounting responsibilities with administrative tasks.
