Job summary

Insite Group in New Jersey is seeking an Assurance Experienced Associate to strengthen our audit practice. You will manage engagement lifecycles, mentor junior staff, and act as a trusted advisor to regional clients.

The role offers a true hybrid structure, with balanced busy-season hours and a transparent path toward Audit Manager. You will lead audits, supervise staff, and collaborate with client leadership to deliver timely, accurate financial statements and robust internal controls analysis.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of recent public accounting audit experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA license or active progress toward CPA required.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and GAAS.
• Experience with audit software (CCH Engagement, CaseWare) and advanced Excel functions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead Audit Engagements: Plan, execute, and complete financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations in accordance with US GAAP and GAAS.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and review the work of staff associates, offering constructive feedback and coaching.
• Client Engagement: Serve as the primary daily point of contact for client accounting leadership, ensuring clear communication, timely updates, and proactive risk resolution.
• Internal Controls & Testing: Evaluate client accounting systems, internal controls, and operational processes to identify risks and efficiency opportunities.
• Reporting & Delivery: Draft complex audit reports, management letters, and financial statement disclosures for Partner review.
