Insero Talent Solutions is recruiting for an Audit Manager / Senior Audit Manager on behalf of a leading accounting and advisory firm with a growing Assurance Practice in New York. This role offers hybrid work options in Rochester, Buffalo, or Syracuse, NY, with the possibility of travel to Rochester as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
• Active CPA license strongly preferred; required for signing audit reports.
• 5+ years of progressive public accounting audit experience for Audit Manager; 7–10+ years for Senior Audit Manager.
• Experience auditing commercial businesses, nonprofit organizations, governmental entities, or employee benefit plans.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP/GAAS and related financial reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee audit engagements for diverse clients across sectors.
• Lead all phases of audit engagements from planning to final reporting.
• Review workpapers, financial statements, and notes for accuracy and compliance.
• Evaluate internal controls and develop audit strategies and recommendations.
• Serve as primary client relationship manager with proactive communication.
